Electric Yellow Cichlid

The Electric Yellow Cichlid (Labidochromis caeruleus), also known as the Yellow Lab Cichlid or Banana Cichlid, is a popular and vibrant freshwater fish originating from Lake Malawi in Africa. Its striking yellow color and relatively peaceful nature make it a favourite among cichlid enthusiasts.

Behavior: Generally peaceful for a cichlid, but may display mild aggression, especially when establishing territory. Best in groups or with other semi-aggressive African cichlids.

Tank Requirements: Minimum 30 gallons with plenty of rock caves for hiding.

Diet: Omnivorous; thrives on a diet of high-quality cichlid pellets, vegetable matter, and occasional protein like brine shrimp or bloodworms.

Lifespan: Can live 6-10 years with proper care.
