The Green Senegal Bichir (Polypterus senegalus senegalus), also known as the Green Dinosaur Bichir, is a robust, elongated freshwater fish with a pale greenish hue and a primitive appearance. • Behavior: Semi-aggressive and predatory; best kept with other similarly sized fish. Avoid keeping with small tank mates that can be mistaken for food.
• Tank Requirements: sandy/ soft substrate, ample hiding spots like driftwood and caves, and subdued lighting. Ensure a lid to prevent escapes.
