The Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish (Melanotaenia praecox) is a small, vibrant schooling fish with a shimmering blue body and bright red or yellow fins. Its iridescence really pops under good lighting, making it a favorite for planted aquariums.

Behavior & Swimming: Peaceful and very active. Best kept in schools of 6 or more, where they display their best colors and lively schooling behavior. They are mid-to-top-level swimmers, constantly moving and exploring open space.

Diet: Omnivorous. Eats flakes, pellets, and loves small live or frozen foods like brine shrimp, bloodworms, and daphnia.
