Albino Pristella Tetra

The Albino Pristella Tetra (Pristella maxillaris), also known as the X-Ray Tetra is a peaceful schooling fish. This albino variant has a pale, almost translucent body with bright red eyes and retains the classic yellow-and-black pattern on the dorsal and anal fins, making it very striking in a planted aquarium. 

Key Care Points:

• Behavior & Swimming: Peaceful and active schooling fish, best kept in groups of 6 or more. They are mid-to-top-level swimmers and look their best when darting around together in a well-lit tank.

• Tank Requirements: Likes plants and open swimming space. with a gentle to moderate flow.

• Diet: Omnivorous. Will eat flakes, pellets, and happily take small live or frozen foods like daphnia, brine shrimp, and bloodworms.

• Lifespan: Typically 5–8 years with good care.

• Max Size: Reaches 1.5–2 inches (3.5–5 cm).
