The Albino Corydoras (Corydoras aeneus), a variant of the Bronze Corydoras, is a peaceful and hardy bottom-dwelling freshwater fish. Its pale white or pinkish body and red eyes make it a striking addition to aquariums. Native to South America, this species is highly social and thrives in groups, making it a favorite for community tanks.

Key Care Points:

  • Behavior: Peaceful and social; best kept in groups of six or more. Actively forages at the bottom of the tank.
  • Tank Requirements: sand or smooth small grained gravel as rougher substrates can damage their whiskers.
  • Diet: Omnivorous; enjoys sinking pellets, algae wafers, and occasional treats like bloodworms or brine shrimp.
  • Lifespan: Typically lives 5-7 years with proper care.
  • Max Size: Grows up to 2.5 inches (6.5 cm) in captivity.
  • Growth Rate: Moderate; reaches full size in about 6-8 months under optimal conditions.

The Albino Cory’s gentle nature and diligent scavenging habits make it a perfect choice for peaceful community aquariums.

Small juvenile means its less than 1 inch size, Juvenile is around 1.5 inches, and adult will be around 2 inches.
